Brief
The brief for this part of the assignment was to create a short animation for a logo of my choice. I chose to animate my logo design that I made for 'Breakfast in Bed' in Lab 1.Initial Thoughts
My initial thought on this task was that I wanted to animate the logo for breakfast in bed as a sun rising. This was the most obvious way for me to go about animating the logo as its main theme is the rising sun.Animating
To animate the logo, I used Adobe After Effects. This was relatively straight forward to do as I had made my logo in Adobe Illustrator and the files were easily transferable between the two software.I began by making sure that each of the shapes in my logo were separated into different layers.

Then, in after effects I made it so that the three semi-circles were placed off the bottom of the art-board and created keyframes to make it so that they elevate up to the middle of the art-board. I adjusted the timing of when each of the semi-circles begin to move so that they move into place one after the other. I also added opacity keyframes to make it so that the semi-circles appear moving once they're actually on the art-board.
To make it so that the movement of the the semi-circles was as smooth as possible, I added the easy ease effect.
For the typography, I simply added opacity keyframes so that the text appears after the last semi-circle is moved into place.
